This platform was developed as an interactive visualization of the research presented and discussed at this year’s ACADIA conference. It uses machine learning algorithms to analyze the conference content, identify key terms, and cross reference these terms with over 13,000 entries in the CumInCAD repository of research presented at ACADIA and its sibling organizations CAADRIA, eCAADe, SIGraDi, ASCAAD and CAADFutures over the past 40+ years.
The platform organizes al l research presented at the conference—Papers, Projects, Field Notes, and Videos—as individual nodes in a three-dimensional field that attendees can navigate interactively. Clicking on a node will provide an abstract for that particular body of research, visualize related work as a network of connected nodes, and link to the session at which the work is presented. The field also includes nodes for Keynote Events, Award Events, Special Sessions, Workshops, and Conference Sponsors. Conference attendees are invited to browse the dynamic environment and discover new connections and proximities within the ACADIA community. You can also quickly filter and select by specific categories using the buttons at the lower left.
